Guiding fees for small groups (maximum 5 people):

• ¥25,000 per group for a half-day (up to 4 hours)
• ¥40,000 per group for a full day (up to 8 hours)
Starting from 2026:
• ¥27,000 per group for a half-day (up to 4 hours)
• ¥44,000 per group for a full day (up to 8 hours)

We spent a day and a half in Kyoto with Masayo. She was wonderful! We visited Sanjusangendo Temple, Fushimi Inari Shrine and the Gion area on our first day with her. The second day, she took us to Arashiyama, Golden Pavillion and Nijo Castle. These are incredible sites and Masayo was very knowledgeable about each place. She gave us the history and shared the Japanese culture as it pertained to the various locations. And finally, she went out of her way to find a restaurant for lunch that served Katsudon as I had requested. It was delicious! Masayo’s love for Japan and specifically for Kyoto was obvious. We were thrilled to have found her. Our time with her will remain our best memories of our visit to Kyoto!

Masayo was a joy to be around with our group. She helped create an agenda for our time in kyoto and ensures places we visited were along the paths we were walking or driving to. She was very knowledgeable and will ensure your needs are met. Masayo was very flexible to work around our schedules in case of any sudden changes.

Masayo was an absolutely delightful tour guide for our large group in Kyoto! Each day, she came prepared with multiple routes in case we encountered inclement weather or in case we were too tired to walk the entire route. She was very prepared and had great presentations for us showing us the history of each location we visited. Masayo is was an absolute pleasure to hang out with, was extremely informative, and had very positive energy and a great sense of humor. I highly recommend her as a tour guide. However, if you book her, please get her to join you in singing karaoke!
