Haruna was an exceptional guide and friend to me during almost 4 days of touring Kyoto. Her English is excellent, and she had the perfect background to be able to show me the beauty of Kyoto and surrounds without dealing with the crowds at the busiest season of the year, the opening of the cherry blossoms. She was a really good translator, diligently looking up any word that she didn't know. What I really loved about Haruna was her unique combination of sophistication and understanding. Our conversations were substantial as she showed me secret places in Kyoto that matched my interests in art, buddhism, tea ceremony and gardens. I had a wonderful time with her and can say that she was a true friend and companion to me in Kyoto. She was truly gracious and made me always feel comfortable.I am very grateful that I became connected with her though my travel agent. Perhaps it could happen again!
