I am a Kyoto local and live in Fushimi area, famous for its sake breweries. I love to visit beautiful gardens, and explore unique local spots known as "off the beaten track". Also I enjoy watching the performing arts and traditional events during each and every season. Although a high school by trade, I have spent several years providing guided tours of Kyoto, Osaka, Shiga, Nara, Hiroshima and Koyasan.
Depending on your preferences, I provide many different types of tours such as cycling tours, hiking tours, food tours, Zen meditation and tea ceremony, as well as sightseeing spots. Additionally, you might also be interested in walking Gion districts or attending traditional handicraft experiences. I invite you to discover the treasure of Kyoto.
My tour courses are very flexible. I can take you the local spots that travel sites don't tell much, such as back streets, and shops which is popular among locals.
Please let me know if you have any requests. I look forward to being your guide!

I guided guests who love traditional crafts from Australia. While enjoying the quiet area, we walk around the pottery stores of Kyo-yaki and Kiyomizu-yaki. They watched craftsmen at work in a studio and experience applying glaze to sake cups. At the Kyoto Museum of Crafts and Design, They purchased yuzen dyeing and zogan or inlays.Next time, they will definitely try Kintsugi experience!

We had a zazen session at Zen Temple with German guests. It is a quiet moment in a beautiful garden. It was after a long hike, Kurama and Kibune, so the meditation helped us to be more mindful. The green tea afterwards was also very special!

I guided a family from the US for two days. We spent at the Golden Pavilion, Tenryuji Temple, boat ride and the Pokemon Center. They enjoyed the garden with blooming flowers, a rickshaw ride through the bamboo forest, and Arashiyama monkey park. It was an enjoyable trip, based on the family's preferences for hiking along Philosopher's Path, a matcha experience, and an animal café.
