March, 2018 I had an inquiry from a hotel, and I guided an Italian couple in Kyoto. In stead of cherry blossoms that the guests expected to be able to get to see, I took them to have a look at plum blossoms at Kitano Tenmangu Shrine. Incorporating sudden changes, the guests were happy to have a good overview of Kyoto.

Oct.2017 : Gion evening tour for a solo traveller from New Orleans. As I was explaining "Geisha" dancing, I found out she had a background in Jazz dance and had strong interest in both traditional and experimental Japanese dance. It was enjoyable to talk about a choreographer both of us admired. She missed out Gion a year ago, I was happy to fill her missing piece of her trip to Japan.

Nov. 2017, I led a private half-day walking tour for three women from the U.K. The guests very much enjoyed a dry landscape garden called "Nothingness". All of them were quite keen on Japanese culture and asked a lot of questions, which I was happy to answer. Although one of our destinations was packed with people, everyone was very patient.
